LUAS (Dublin Light Rail Tram System)
Opened in 2004, LUAS is Dublin's newest public transport option. As shown on the map above and the route planner below, the system currently consists of 2 lines. The Green Line serves the south of the city and the longer Red Line covers the North and South-West of Dublin. The 2 lines are not connected, and it is a 15-minute walk between their closest points, St Stephen's on the Green Line and Abbey Street on the Red Line
Fares
Each line is divided into a number of zones, numbered from the centre outwards and ticket prices are calculated according to the number of zones passed through on your journey. A Fare calculator is available on the LUAS Website.
