The Old Jameson Distillery, in Smithfield, is where Jameson Irish Whiskey was first distilled in 1780. Tours around the old distillery take in the history of Jameson whiskey since then, and of Irish whiskey making in general over the last 1000 years. Be sure to put yourself forward quickly when your tour guide asks for volunteers, as you could get to take part in a taste test of Jameson and other whiskeys!
